Who we are
This policy explains how Entreprise Kwiik Konek Inc. (“Kwiik,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects your personal information when you visit kwiik.ca, contact us, or purchase our products.
Kwiik Konek Inc. is headquartered at 2351 rue Sigouin, Drummondville, Quebec J2C 6T4, Canada.
We are committed to protecting your personal information in accordance with Quebec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (Law 25) and other applicable laws.
Scope
This policy applies to anyone who:
- visits our website, kwiik.ca;
- fills out our contact form or installation quote form;
- purchases a product through our online shop;
- contacts our team by phone or email.
It does not cover third-party websites or services we may refer to, for example our authorized retailers' websites.
What we collect and why
| Source | Personal information collected | Why we collect it |
|---|---|---|
| Contact form | First and last name, email, phone number, subject, message | To answer your request and follow up with you |
| Installation quote request | First and last name, email, phone number, address, city, postal code, an optional photo of the installation site, and any notes you provide | To evaluate your project, prepare a quote, and schedule the installation |
| Shop purchase | Order and shipping details (name, address, email); payment details are processed directly by Stripe and are not stored by Kwiik | To process your order, ship it, and provide after-sales support and warranty service |
| Browsing our site | A technical session cookie (“wix-session”) and aggregated usage statistics through the default Wix Analytics tool (pages viewed, device, browser, approximate location) | To keep your shopping cart working and understand, in aggregate, how our site is used |
| Address suggestions (installation quote form) | The address you type, sent to Google Places to suggest valid addresses | To save you from typing a full address and reduce shipping or installation errors |
| Technical error detection (Sentry) | The page address, browser type, and technical details of the error; not a recording of your session and not a visitor feedback form | To find and fix site failures |
We do not collect detailed financial information (such as a credit card number), health information, or biometric information.
You can choose not to fill out a form, or to reach us by phone instead of email. In that case, however, we may not be able to process a quote request or online order without the information needed to complete it.
Your consent
By filling out a form, placing an order, or contacting us, you voluntarily provide your personal information to obtain the service you requested. This consent is free, informed, and given for specific purposes: responding to your request, preparing a quote, or processing your order.
We do not collect more information than is necessary for these purposes. We do not profile visitors and do not use identification or location technology without your knowledge.
Who has access, within our company
Only team members who need it to do their job can access your personal information, including:
- our customer service and technical support team, to respond to your requests;
- our installation and quoting team, to evaluate and carry out your project;
- our shop order team, to process and ship your purchase;
- our privacy officer, who oversees all of these practices.
We never sell your personal information.
Service providers and transfers outside Quebec
To run our website and provide our services, we work with service providers who process personal information on our behalf. Some of these providers are located outside Quebec, which means your information may be transferred outside the province.
| Provider | Role | Where it's processed |
|---|---|---|
| Wix.com Ltd. | Website hosting, forms, online shop, shopping cart, and default analytics | Wix.com Ltd. is headquartered in Israel; your information may be stored in data centers located in the United States and Ireland, and processed by Wix group companies or sub-processors in other countries as needed. |
| Stripe | Secure payment processing for shop purchases | Stripe is headquartered in the United States and Ireland; personal information of Canadian, including Quebec, customers is transferred to data centers located in the United States. |
| Google (Google Places) | Address suggestions on the installation quote form | Address queries are processed on Google's global infrastructure, which may include processing outside Quebec. |
| Functional Software, Inc. (Sentry) | Monitoring of technical site errors (crashes and failures) so we can fix them. This is not session recording, an advertising pixel, or a visitor feedback form. | Functional Software, Inc. is headquartered in the United States; error reports may be processed in the United States. |
We selected these providers because they apply recognized security safeguards (data encryption, data processing agreements, standard contractual clauses, among others) to protect your information no matter where it is processed. These transfers are necessary to provide the service you requested: responding to your message, preparing a quote, or processing a purchase.
We do not sell or rent your personal information for advertising or marketing purposes.
Retention and destruction
We keep your personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purpose for which it was collected, then securely destroy or anonymize it, unless a law requires us to keep it longer, for example for tax or accounting obligations.
In practice:
- Contact form inquiries are kept only as long as needed to respond to you and provide reasonable follow-up, then destroyed.
- Installation quote information is kept as long as needed to evaluate your project and, if you proceed, to carry out the installation and honour the applicable warranty period.
- Shop order information is kept as long as needed to process your order, provide after-sales support, and meet our legal obligations, including tax and accounting requirements.
- Website usage statistics are kept in aggregated form for as long as needed to produce a useful picture of site performance.
- Technical error reports sent to Sentry are kept only as long as needed to diagnose and fix a problem, then deleted according to Sentry’s retention period.
We are finalizing a detailed retention schedule for each category of personal information, which will be reviewed and approved by our privacy officer. Until it is formally adopted, the rule above already governs all of our practices.
Security measures
We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information against loss, theft, and unauthorized access, including:
- technological measures: encrypted transmission (HTTPS/TLS) on our site, and infrastructure managed by reputable providers (Wix, Stripe, Sentry) that apply their own industry security standards;
- administrative measures: access limited to team members who need your information to do their job;
- organizational measures: privacy governance overseen by our designated privacy officer.
No system is completely infallible. If a privacy incident presenting a risk of serious harm were to occur, we would notify the affected individuals and Quebec's Commission d'accès à l'information (CAI), as required by law.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- access the personal information we hold about you;
- request the correction of information that is inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated;
- withdraw your consent to a collection or use, where that use was based on your consent;
- request the portability of your computerized personal information, in the cases provided for by law;
- file a complaint about how your personal information is protected.
Exercising your rights and filing a complaint
To exercise any of these rights, or for any question about this policy, contact our privacy officer (details below). We respond to requests within a reasonable time and, in every case, within the timelines set out by law.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you can file a complaint with Quebec's Commission d'accès à l'information (cai.gouv.qc.ca).
Children
Our products and website are intended for the general public and are not designed for use by children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 14. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information without the required consent, please contact our privacy officer so we can delete it.
Automated decision-making
We do not make any decision based exclusively on automated processing of your personal information that would have a legal effect on you or significantly affect you. Any decision about your request, quote, or order is made by a member of our team.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes in our practices or the law. Any change will be posted on this page, along with a new “last updated” date at the top. We encourage you to review it periodically.
